My text was “I love sports, it is my life. Through the ups and downs it is something I will always remember. But I will also never forget the first time I did play sports. It was a cold day and that is when I started learning how to skate on ice. Now I realize I am so thankful that I did learn how to skate because I enjoy playing Ice hockey more than anything. Growing up I played soccer, basketball, and baseball. But I was destined to play hockey because as all those sports subsequently fell out of my life hockey climbed to to top of the pile. Hockey has brought me success but also hardship that will help me very much in my life. The blood, sweat, and years have helped me mature in life and I couldn't thank my coaches and teammates enough because they have helped me become the person I am today. Even if I was never very good at the sports like golf or tennis I played it because I would have fun and whenever it seemed like I was a pro I just smirked and thought to myself "hey I enjoy this". Through the struggles it seems that I could always find something that made me feel good. Whether I score a goal, have a big hit, or just make a great play the struggle would become more enjoyable. Sports have helped me stay healthy and also meet people that have become truly great friends. They make me happy during times of sorrow and sadness. Looking back on life I will always remember by friends teammates and coaches that I met and experienced through sports. I wouldn't trade sports for supreme happiness because sports are life events and they can make me happy no matter what the situation. The fact that I play sports runs in my family but to have as much success as I have had is very rare. Even though a state championship doesn't guarantee that I am going to be a professional I would love to just be given a shot because I know I have the hockey iq and also I know that I have the natural born talent to be a very successful player. Without sports I am nothing, I am just the remains of a human being. But with sports I am much more, I am everything”
