The Rivalry
- Go to google images
- Search “ Sidney Crosby” and select a picture of him and Alex Ovechkin (Another hockey player)
- Save the picture
- Open up Photoshop CS3
- Open the picture saved called “CROSBY VS OVY”
- Then go to view-fit on screen
- Then copy the background layer
- Then using the pen tool select the background of the image
- Make that into a new layer(ctrl-j)
- Then go to filter-stylize-diffuse and leave it at the default settings
- Then on the same layer go to filter-stylize-solarize
- Then go back to the copy of the background layer
- Select the man on the left’s head with the pen tool and make it into a new layer
- Then select the man on the right’s head and make that into a new layer
- Then name your layers so you can stay organized
- Then select a font that looks like it could be fire/symbolize hot
- Make the color 225,87,0
- Then while having the player on the right’s head selected and make kinda squiggly lines going off of his head to the top of the screen
- Then select the color 138,218,219
- Select the player on the left
- Then draw the same type lines off of his head to the top of the screen
- Then go back to the layer 1
- With the pen tool select the player on the left
- Then do the same thing with the player of the right
- Then go to the player on the lefts layer
- Add a stroke layer-layer styles-stroke(size 5, all other settings default)
- The color should be a light blue
- Then add a stroke to the other player with size 5 and it is red(All other settings default)
- Then make sure the player layers are above the layer with the filter
- Then click the text box button
- Add a text box in the top left corner
- Then type in “The Ultimate Rivalry”
- Then with the Crosby layer go to layer-layer style-color overlay
- The settings are 25% OPACITY AND ALL OTHER SETTINGS DEFAULT(Color light blue)
- Then go to the Other player(Guy on the right) layer
- Add a color overlay to him but make it red(Same settings)
- Make sure everything is showing(All the words)
